You do know slavery was abolished, right? You can’t own another human being.

Your son belongs to himself. You just have responsibility for him whilst he needs looking after. When he grows up, you won’t even have that.

This means that he still has rights. If he belonged to you, you could kill him - but you cannot. If he belonged to you, you could sexually abuse him - but you cannot. If he belonged to you, you could genitally mutilate him - but you cannot.

When he’s older, and can decide and consent for himself? Sure. 

But not now.
